Steward's Report
Redback Express was slow to begin.
Saxon Raider underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Thomas Boehmke regarding Saxon Raider's racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Saxon Raider was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Boehmke pleaded guilty to the charge. Saxon Raider must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race urine sample was taken from Coconut Carter – the winner of the event.
