Ninety Five was quick to begin.  Lee I Am and Dalshabae went up with the lids at box rise and were slow to begin.  Southwood Jack checked off Blossom Noir soon after the start.  Lee I Am checked off Arvo's Steva soon after the start.  Lee I Am, Southwood Jack and Amaroo Sand Man collided approaching the first turn checking Lee I Am and Southwood Jack.  Dalshabae and Zimmerman collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Zimmerman.  Amaroo Sand Man crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Arvo's Steva.  Lee I Am and Southwood Jack collided on the first turn checking Lee I Am.  Lee I Am galloped on the heels Arvo's Steva approaching the second turn checking Lee I Am and severely checking Arvo's Steva.  Lee I Am and Blossom Noir collided entering the home straight checking Blossom Noir.  Southwood Jack marred the running of Blossom Noir in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Lee I Am was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Crawley, trainer of the greyhound Southwood Jack regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Southwood Jack with marring.  Mr. P. Crawley pleaded guilty to the charge.  Southwood Jack was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown Park and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Etched In Black and Alpha Achilles were slow to begin.  Zelemar Storm, Chief Red Cloud, Etched In Black and Hashtag Yolo collided soon after the start.  Alpha Achilles checked off Etched In Black approaching the first turn.  Zelemar Storm and Hashtag Yolo collided on the first turn. Etched In Black and Held Hostage collided on the first turn.  Amaroo Emirates eased approaching the second turn.  Alpha Achilles and Held Hostage collided on the second turn.  Chief Red Cloud checked off Held Hostage on the third turn.  Hashtag Yolo and Alpha Achilles collided on the home turn.

Stewards noted that the muzzle of Hawk Tana became partially dislodged during the running of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Schembri, the trainer of the greyhound Amaroo Emirates regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn. Amaroo Emirates was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 5, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to it's left monkey muscle.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Amaroo Emirates with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Schembri pleaded not guilty to the charge. Amaroo Emirates was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Billy Bekim, Maserati Rev and Cro Cop were slow to begin.  Hilltop Senorita and Largo's Mistress collided soon after the start.  Drift Liner, Hilltop Senorita, Largo's Mistress, Charming Ally and Blu Light Banjo collided on the first turn checking Hilltop Senorita, Charming Ally and Maserati Rev and severely checking Cro Cop; Largo's Mistress fell as a result.  Billy Bekim and Hilltop Senorita collided approaching the second turn.

Largo's Mistress was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left monkey muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Cro Cop was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right wrist.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Decta was quick to begin.  Pacific Miss, Ester Bale, Sisco Flyer and Reen's Fabian were slow to begin.  Decta and Splash Mountain collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Decta, Ester Bale and Reen's Fabian.  Pacific Miss checked off Sisco Flyer on the first turn.  Ester Bale and Sisco Flyer collided approaching the second turn.  Decta and Sisco Flyer collided approaching the second turn and again on the second turn.  Ester Bale and Vee For Vegas collided on the third turn.  Pacific Miss and Vee For Vegas collided approaching the home turn.  Reen's Fabian and Vee For Vegas collided on the home turn.

Decta was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to its left hind foot.  No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Galea, the trainer of the greyhound Decta regarding the greyhound's racing manners over the concluding stages of the event.  After viewing the official head on film and the photo finish print, Stewards deemed that the incident occured after the finish line and took no further action.

Francesco, Ulla Allen and Quizmaster were slow to begin.  Our Spinner, Image Puzzle and Dubsy Russell collided soon after the start.  Francesco checked off Benta Bale soon after the start.  Dubsy Russell checked off Quizmaster on the first turn checking Francesco, Ulla Allen and Image Puzzle.  Benta Bale and Praise Chorus collided on the first turn.  Image Puzzle and Quizmaster collided approaching the third turn and again on the third turn checking Francesco, Ulla Allen, Image Puzzle, Dubsy Russell and Quizmaster.  Praise Chorus and Our Spinner collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Ulla Allen and Dubsy Russell collided on the home turn.

Stewards noted that the Judges incorrectly semaphored the numbers 5, 7, 3 & 1 following the event.  This was subsequently adjusted to show the correct numbers of 1, 5, 3 & 6 before the All Clear was given.

Fuzzy Buzzy was quick to begin.  Hurricane Isaac and Bonjour Bonsoir were slow to begin.  Dixie Lane checked off Allen Gundam soon after the start.  Fairy Lace, Sunday Shoes and Allen Gundam collided approaching the first turn checking Sunday Shoes and Allen Gundam.  Fairy Lace and Dixie Lane collided approaching the second turn checking Fairy Lace.  Fuzzy Buzzy checked off Sunday Shoes on the fourth turn.  Hurricane Isaac checked off Fuzzy Buzzy approaching the home turn checking Bonjour Bonsoir.  Fairy Lace and Bonjour Bonsoir collided entering the home straight checking Fairy Lace.

Dyna Inca, Shattered Ice and Scanez Cee were slow to begin.  Go Mobo, Hello Good Bye and Mepunga Loss collided approaching the first turn checking Hello Good Bye.  Smart Maxwell, Shattered Ice and Scanez Cee collided on the first turn checking Shattered Ice.  Shattered Ice checked off Dyna Inca on the second turn.  Hello Good Bye checked off Go Mobo on the home turn.  Mepunga Moss checked off Hello Good Bye entering the home straight.

Cadence Bale was a late scratching at 12:55pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mrs. J. Hunt was fined the sum of $100.

Sir Reuben was slow to begin.  Reen's Prince, Tower Lee and Dundee Toro collided approaching the first turn.  Fluke Of Fantasy and Allen Icarus collided approaching the first turn.  Dundee Toro, Fluke Of Fantasy and Allen Icarus collided on the first turn checking Reen's Prince, Tower Lee and Fluke Of Fantasy.  Sir Reuben and Allen Icarus collided approaching the second turn checking Fluke Of Fantasy and Sir Reuben. Tower Lee raced wide in the back straight.  Twelfth Man raced wide throughout the event.

Twelfth Man was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 11, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to it's left wrist.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Riley, the representative of the greyhound Twelfth Man regarding the greyhound's disappointing perfomance in this event.  Mr. Riley stated that it was the greyhound's first start for the kennel and otherwise could offer no further explanation.  Stewards noted the comments and directed that a sample be taken from the greyhound.  Stewards deemed the performance of Twelfth Man unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Twelfth Man must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Miss Su Chi was quick to begin.  Recko Bale and Laurie's Chance were slow to begin.  Living Waters, Ice Toronado and Hez Got Nitro collided soon after the start.  Laurie's Chance, Living Waters and Ice Toronado collided approaching the first turn.  Recko Bale, Laurie's Chance, Living Waters, Ice Toronado and Hez Got Nitro collided on the first turn checking Recko Bale, Living Waters, Ice Toronado and Hez Got Nitro.  Miss Su Chi faltered approaching the second turn and lost considerable ground as a result.  Fleetwood Storm faltered in the back straight and lost considerable ground as a result.  Living Waters checked off Recko Bale on the third turn.  Living Waters and Fleetwood Storm collided approaching the home turn.

Miss Su Chi was vetted following event 10 and was re-vetted following event 12.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left and right pencil muscles, right monkey muscle (possibly torn), left pectoral and left wrist.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Fleetwood Storm was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a broken left hock.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Maddie Gari was quick to begin.  Gangnam Style and Andy Jay were slow to begin.  Thracian checked off Penn Bale soon after the start.  Nitro Drill, Gangnam Style and Miss Bo Wicked collided approaching the first turn checking Miss Bo Wicked.  Miss Bo Wicked checked off Andy Jay on the second turn.  Thracian raced wide on the second turn.  Penn Bale and Andy Jay collided in the back straight checking Penn Bale.  Miss Bo Wicked checked off Penn Bale on the home turn.  Tekki Tinker and Miss Bo Wicked collided approaching the winning post.

Kisai Blade was a late scratching at 10:47am due to injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Cosmic Break and Kang Bale were slow to begin.  Bunga Bunga and Willowvale Fox collided on the first turn.  Cosmic Break raced wide approaching the second turn.  Willowvale Fox checked off Barn A Shakin approaching the second turn.  Kang Bale galloped on the heels of Bunga Bunga on the third turn.  Bunga Bunga, Willowvale Fox, Barn A Shakin and Kang Bale collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking Willowvale Fox and Barn A Shakin.

Tulare Dust was quick to begin.  Ima Legend and Magneto Bale were slow to begin.  Tulare Dust, Marungi Choice and Barksdale collided approaching the first turn checking Marungi Choice, Tulare Dust and Ima Legend.  Kofi Kaylan raced wide on the first turn.  Ima Legend checked off Tulare Dust approaching the second turn.  Marungi Choice and Saint Bale collided on the second turn checking Saint Bale.  Tulare Dust and Ima Legend collided in the back straight checking Tulare Dust.  Ima Legend checked off Saint Bale approaching the home turn.  Magneto Bale and Saint Bale collided entering the home straight checking Saint Bale.
