Kraken Conan was quick to begin.  To Seven Eleven, Zelemar Zippa and Tambay Bale were slow to begin. Zelemar Zippa and Tambay Bale collided soon after the start, checking Zelemar Zippa. To Seven Eleven and Tambay Bale collided approaching the first turn. To Seven Eleven, Tambay Bale, Red Rumbler and Dyna Nodoka collided on the first turn, checking Dyna Nodoka, Red Rumbler and Zelemar Zippa. Bush Rebel and Peregrin Stealth collided on the first turn. Bush Rebel galloped on the heels of Kraken Conan approaching the home turn, checking Bush Rebel, Peregrin Stealth and Dyna Nodoka. To Seven Eleven checked off Kraken Conan and collided with Bush Rebel on the home turn, checking Bush Rebel. Dyna Nodoka and Peregrin Stealth collided on the home turn, checking Dyna Nodoka. Kraken Conan eased in the home straight.

Peregrin Stealth was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the right monkey muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Kraken Conan was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 11, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr K. Eyles, the trainer of the greyhound Kraken Conan regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Kraken Conan with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Eyles pleaded guilty to the charge, Kraken Conan was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Following the event Mr. W. Alley, the representative of Dyna Nokoda, left the track without having the greyhound vetted. A Veterinary Certificate of clearance will be required before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr Alley regarding leaving the course before having the greyhound Dyna Nodoka examined. Mr Alley was reminded of his responsibilities.
