Bondi Buddy was very slow to begin (3 Lengths). Jacinta Kate, Cash You Latte and Alfred Benz collided soon after the start checking Cash You Latte, which raced wide as a result. Diamond Doll and Hunting Coaruax collided at the 300m mark checking Jacinta Kate and Diamond Doll. Hunting Coaruax and Alfred Benz collided at the 250m mark checking both greyhounds. Hunting Coaruax checked off Alfred Benz at the 150m mark. Bondi Buddy checked off Cash You Latte at the 50m mark.

Simply Maybe and Spooked were slow to begin. Spooked, Nicko Fozz, Chief Red Cloud and Katcrisalli collided soon after the start checking Spooked and Nicko Fozz. Simply Maybe, Run Plebbie Run, Spooked, Nicko Fozz and Chief Red Cloud collided at the 300m mark checking Simply Maybe, Spooked and Nicko Fozz. Spooked and Chief Red Cloud collided at the 200m mark checking Chief Red Cloud. Nitro Song stumbled at the 150m mark and lost ground as a result. Nitro Song checked off Transylvania at the 100m mark. Simply Maybe and Run Plebbie Run collided approaching the winning post.

Nitro Song was vetted and after being re-vetted following event five, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right chest and right hock, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Katcrisalli - the winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Chiu, the trainer of Katcrisalli in regards to the greyhound performing above market expectations in this event.  Mr. Chiu advised Stewards that the greyhound had recently come off season and had matured in recent starts. He also stated that a lack of inteference in this race had given Katcrisalli a clear run. Stewards noted Mr. Chiu's explanation and directed that a sample be taken from the greyhound.

Daintree Mustang was slow to begin. Dynamic Luke and Blue To Bits collided at the 250m mark. Freddo Pedro checked off Dynamic Luke at the 200m mark and collided with Blue To Bits, causing Blue To Bits to stumble and lose ground. Freddo  Pedro and Blue To Bits collided at the 150m mark checking Blue To Bits. Southwood King and Gary Groundwork collided at the 150m mark checking Blue To Bits.

Fratelli Fresh and Valladares were slow to begin. Tzar Norma and Dozer Lad collided soon after the start. Prince Akeem and Valladares collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Valladares checked off Dozer Lad at the 250m mark. Cool For School checked off Superfonic at the 150m mark. Tzar Norma and Superfonic collided at the 100m mark. Fratelli Fresh, Tzar Norma and Superfonic collided approaching the winning post.

Prince Akeem was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left calf muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Valladares was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A sample was taken from Cool For School - the winner of the event.

Ms. C. Paez, trainer of Pirate Arcade redeclared a new weight of 28.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Pirate Arcade last raced at 27.7kg.

Don Fire went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (3 Lengths). Don Fire crossed to the outside soon after the start and raced wide throughout the event. Over's Delight checked off Dee Plane Wayne soon after the start. Dee Plane Wayne, So Far Away, Elite Bluestone and Go Lovely collided at the 300m mark checking Elite Bluestone, Go Lovely and Kallara Gem. Elite Bluestone and Go Lovely collided at the 250m mark. Go Lovely checked off Elite Bluestone at the 200m mark.

A pre race sample was taken from Delta Queen.

Kian's Hybrid and Wolfbane McCabe were slow to begin. Magic Galo, Oscar's Chance and Delta Queen collided several times from the 250m mark to the 150m mark, checking all three greyhounds. Magic Galo, Oscar's Chance, Delta Queen and Best Song Ever collided at the 150m mark checking Delta Queen and Best Song Ever. Delta Queen checked off Kian's Hybrid approaching the winning post.
