Laurie's Chance and Sir Tex collided approaching the second turn. Black Velcro, Gazer Bale and Akando collided approaching the second turn checking Gazer Bale, Black Velcro, Laurie's Chance and Sir Tex, severely checking Speedy Carerro which stumbled and lost considerable ground as a result. Jingellic and Akando collided serval times approaching the third turn checking Jingellic. Laurie's Chance checked off Black Velcro on the third turn.

Sahara was slow to begin.

Maddie Gari checked off Eyeful Of Bling on the first turn. Eyeful Of Bling, Vernon Bale and Tekki Minx collided on the first turn and again on the second turn. Maddie Gari and Sahara collided on the second turn. Trip To Cairns faltered in the back staright and pulled up as a result. Tekki Minx checked off Eyeful Of Bling entering the home straight.

Trip To Cairns was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock, a 30 day stand down period was imposed.

Image Puzzle was quick to begin. Gaucho, Zabimaru Bale and Axis Bale were slow to begin. 

Sutton Club, Gaucho, Winfield Sammy and Zabimaru Bale collided soon after the start checking Gaucho. Winfield Sammy, Zabimaru Bale and Axis Bale collided approaching the first turn. Midnight Reign and Sutton Club collided on the first turn checking Sutton Club and Gaucho. Gaucho checked off Barn A Shakin in the back straight. Barn A Shakin checked off Gaucho on the third turn. Blue Giant went up with box rise and was slow to begin 3 lengths.

He Isn't Really, Shanlyn Patch, Tweak, Ruff Edges and Mepunga Tiara collided approaching the first turn checking He Isn't Really and Tweak and severely checking Shanlyn Patch and Blue Giant. Blue Giant checked off Shanlyn Patch on the second turn. Tweak and Ruff Edges collided several times on the home turn. Tweak and Mepunga Tiara collided entering the home straight.

Blue Giant was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained webbing grazes to left front, left hind and right hind and metacarpel soreness, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Connor's Rocket and Cosmic Break were slow to begin. 

Splash Mountain, Our Spinner, Dyna Chaser, Noosa Rocket and Dundee Toro collided soon after the start checking Splash Mountain, Noosa Rocket and Our Spinner. Dyna Chaser and Dundee Toro collided approaching the winning post checking Dundee Toro, Splash Mountain, Noosa Rocket, Connor's Rocket and Our Spinner.

At the close of kennelling this evening Stewards spoke to the trainer of Cruiser's Sol, Mr D. Crawford, regarding the late scratching of this greyhound from this event (9.25am injury). Mr Crawford explained that he had endeavoured to telephone GRV and Stewards this morning prior to 8.30am to notify about this scratching but had been unable to make contact (presumably due to a telephone malfunction). Mr Crawford also explained that the greyhound had an injured right shoulder and agreed to provide a veterinary certificate in the normal manner to verify this. Stewards confirmed that there had been some telephone malfunctions at GRV this morning and therefore accepted Mr. Crawford's explantion. Stewards also indicated to Mr. Crawford that the greyhound would receive a 10 day penalty in the normal manner and a veterinary certificate will be required before the greyhound races again. 

Go Jetta and Footluce Diva were quick to begin. Bonjour Bonsoir and Opec Bale were slow to begin. 

Go Jetta, Double Rinse and Evie Jane collided on the first turn checking Evie Jane and Lites And Sirens and causing Opec Bale to race wide. 

Bonjour Bonsoir was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apperant injury found. 

Miss Cersei was quick to begin. Know Class and Vanger Bale were slow to begin.

Dawkins Bale, Know Class and Diva's Shadow collided soon after the start checking Know Class. Maximus Glider and We Are Geelong collided approaching the first turn. Miss Cersei and Dawkins Bale collided on the first turn checking Humphery Bale. Know Class and Maximus Glider collided on the first turn checking Maximus Glider. Know Class and Miss Cersei collided entering the home straight checking Miss Cersei.

Buckle Up Mason and Hawk Alone were quick to begin. Margins was slow to begin.

Peloton Bale and Margins collided soon after the start severely checking Margins which fell. Hawk Alone and Sisco Rage collided approaching the first turn checking Hawk Alone, Weston East and Peloton Bale. Weston East and Allen Malik collided on the third turn checking Allen Malik.

Earl Bale was quick to begin and crossed to the rails soon after the start. Hercules Bale and Blistering Bob collided soon after the start. Miss Mayflower and Lektra Utopia on the first turn. Rocket Ready and African Storm collided on the first turn. Playing Tough checked off African Storm approaching the second turn. Rocket Ready clipped the heels of Miss Mayflower entering the back checking Lektra Utopia and severely checking Rocket Ready and Hercules Bale. Blistering Bob checked off Playing Tough approaching the home turn. Miss Mayflower and Lektra Utopia collided serval times approaching the home turn to the home turn checking both greyhounds. Playing Tough raced wide entering the home straight. Hercules Bale and Blistering Bob collided in the home straight  checking Hercules Bale.
