Mr.W.Ferguson, trainer of Gaelic Emerald redeclared a new weight of 28.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Gaelic Emerald last raced at 30.1kg.   

Mrs.E.Lloyd, trainer of Barcia Sambar redeclared a new weight of 30.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Barcia Sambar last raced at 29.1kg.

Blue Suede Girl and Gaelic Emerald were slow to begin. Barcia Sambar and Nitro Cru collided soon after the start, checking Barcia Sambar. Gaelic Dancer checked off Galloping Gem soon the the start. Galloping Gem checked off One Mid approaching the first turn. Gaelic Dancer, Galloping Gem, Barcia Sambar and Gaelic Emerald collided on the first turn, checking Gaelic Dancer. Nitro Cru and Bubble Girl collided on the first turn, severely checking Nitro Cru which lost considerable ground. Barcia Sambar raced wide on the home turn. Gaelic Emerald checked off Blue Suede Girl on the home turn. Blue Suede Girl checked off One Mid entering the home straight. Blue Suede Girl marred the running of One Mid in the home straight.

Nitro Cru was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hamstring and a right groin injury; a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Blue Suede Girl was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right thigh injury; a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to C. Stanton trainer of the greyhound Blue Suede Girl regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting Under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Blue Suede Girl with marring. C. Stanton pleaded guilty to the charge, Blue Suede Girl was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomintaion will be accepted.

Aston Agile stumbled soon after the start. Riverdale Ellie and Destinee Saint collided soon after the start, checking Destinee Saint. Riverdale Ellie and Noela's Dream collided approaching the first turn, checking Riverdale Ellie. Spring Drifter and Destinee Saint collided on the first turn, checking Destinee Saint and causing Aston Agile to race wide. Spring Drifter and Riverdale Ellie collided on the first turn. Riverdale Ellie checked off Bobby Tron entering the home straight and collided with Destinee Saint. Riverdale Ellie and Destinee Saint collided several times in the home straight.

Aston Agile was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Froffies went up with the lids at box rise. Froffies and Hyperbaric collided soon after the start. Rumbling Fury, Corgi Cry and Our Zaney Nash collided approaching the first turn, checking Rumbling Fury, Corgi and Froffies. Dead Set Glamour and Dark Bullet collided on the first turn, checking Dark Bullet and Our Miss Ruby. Rumbling Fury, Corgi Cry and Dark Bullet collided on the first turn, checking Corgi Cry. Dark Bullet checked off Our Miss Ruby approaching the home turn. Corgi Cry and Dark Bullet raced wide in the home straight.

Splitting Cobra and Northern Holly were slow to begin. Staagerlicious checked off Ice Cold Bundy approaching the first turn. Enry's Surprise and Ambergris Lady collided on the first turn, checking Ambergris Lady, Ice Cold Bundy, Staggerlicious, Northern Holly and Splitting Cobra. Ambergris Lady, Ice Cold Bundy and Suspicious Gary collided approaching the home turn. Enry's Surprise faltered in the home straight and tailed off.

Enry's Surprise was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right metatarsal; a 30 day stand down period was imposed.

Splitting Cobra was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left front toe; a 21 day stand down period was imposed. 

Trip The Switch was slow to begin. Hit Star and Toy Princess collided soon after the start. Trip The Switch, Lara's Gem and Missy Bee collided approaching the first turn, checking Trip The Switch. Hit Star checked off Trip The Switch on the first turn, checking Toy Princess. Lara's Gem and Missy Bee collided approaching the home turn. Topeka raced wide on the home turn. 

Wizzard Of Offaly was a late scratching at 4:38pm due to injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Herbivorous was slow to begin. Ice Contractor, Leeannda Mate, Herbivorous and Shannon Capricio collided approaching the first turn, checking Leeannda Mate and Shannon Capricio. Cantona checked off Northern Emma on the first turn. Shannon Capricio raced wide entering the home straight.

Lektra Stroke amd Jungle Warfare were slow to begin. King Odessa checked off Southwood King approaching the first turn Southwood King, Tequila Sun and Hecan Bolt collided on the first turn, checking Aunty Janet and severely checking Lektra Stroke, Tequila Sun and Hecan Bolt. Tequila Sun and Aunty Janet raced wide in the home straight.

Tequila Sun was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.

El Roscoe was slow to begin. Sisco Wake was very slow to begin (3 Lengths) Cosmic Lady checked off Le Doyen approaching the first turn. Jane Fozz checked off Cosmic Lady on the first turn. Phil Mieski faltered on the first turn. Regal Gladiator, Cosmic Lady, El Roscoe and Mandzukic collided on the first turn, checking Regal Gladiator, Cosmic Lady and Mandzukic. Sisco Wake and Comic Lady collided approaching the home turn. Phil Mieski and Cosmic Lady collided entering the home straight. Sisco Wake galloped on the heels of Le Doyen in the home straight, checking both greyhounds. Jayne Fozz and Cosmic Lady raced wide in the home straight. 

Phil Mieski which lead and weakened was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist injury; a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
 

Kantega and Sniffer Grange were slow to begin. Akando and Cruisy Surprise collided soon after the start. Sniffer Grange, Miss Silay, Dawn Cruise and Klaus Bale collided on the first turn, checking Sniffer Grange and severely checking Miss Silay which fell. Dawn Cruise and Klaus Bale collided on the first turn, checking Klaus Bale. Kangtega and Mclanahan collided approaching the home turn, checking Cruisy Surprise and Mclanahan.

Miss Silay was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Going Cosmic and Civil Pursuit were slow to begin. Mind Bender checked off Planetman on the first turn. Regal Villian checked off Regal Diamonds on the first turn. Regal Diamonds and Civil Pursuit collided on the first turn. Going Cosmic and Gimme Butterflys collided approaching the home turn. Going Cosmic raced wide entering the home straight.

Vapour Caper was slow to begin. Voodoo Talk, Classic Caper and Filo's Danger collided soon after the start, checking Filo's Danger. Buckle Up Nikki and Judy's My Name collided on the first turn. Judy's My Name and Black Salt collided on the home turn. Buckle Up Nikki checked off Seeking Treasure entering the home straight and collided with Classic Caper and Vapour Caper.

Seeking Treasure was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a dislocated right front toe; a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Sun Valley and Secret Marjen collided soon aftet the start.. Apatchy Bro, Cruisy Limelight and Ivy lane collided approaching the first turn. Apatchy Bro, Ivy Lane and Secret Marjen collided on the first turn. Our Blue Earner and Cruisy Limelight collided on the first turn. Apatchy Bro and Cruisy Limelight collided apporaching the home turn. Sun Valley raced wide approaching the home turn. Apatchy Bro checked off Ivy lane in the home straight resulting in Apatchy Bro and Secret Marjen racing wide.

Meeting Comments:

Satisfactory Trial Results- Che Road trialled over the 400 metres from box 1 , weight 24.6kg, the greyhound was placed 4 in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.40, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.15 lengths. Che Road was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results- Frisky Colour trialled over the 460 metres from box 1 , weight 25.8kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 26.21, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 0.75 lengths. Frisky Colour was Cleared.
