In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed ‘Heat Affected’. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 25.3 degrees and the kennel temperature was 16.4 degrees. Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue, as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.

Diamantina Opal was quick to begin. Hooked On Jing and Greysynd Will were slow to begin.

Panadero Ruby - underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Re-vet declined.

Stewards spoke to trainer Mr G George regarding Panadero Ruby’s racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Panadero Ruby was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr G George pleaded guilty to the charge. Panadero Ruby was suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Horsham and must perform a  Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Husky Sara Lee -  underwent a post–race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request – no apparent injury was reported.

Mystic Firefly – Late scratching at 9.14am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to a laceration to the left thigh. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Brielle was quick to begin. Noah's Best was slow to begin.

The announcement of the All Clear was delayed for the Stewards to review the race footage after a bird was positioned on the track on the home straight and walked off as the greyhounds approached. After viewing the footage and acting on their own observations, the Stewards were comfortably satisfied that no greyhounds were materially affected so as to affect the outcome of the event. The All Clear was posted.

Solar Jessie underwent a veterinary examination prior to racing and was passed fit to race.

Husky Bailey was slow to begin.

A post–race urine sample was taken from Maddy Giblet – the winner of the event.

Get It Done – Late scratching at 3.02am when trainer Mr Gavin Gledhill reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.

Lala Rapid was slow to begin.

Joey The Jet and Lupini Monelli were quick to begin. 

Aeroplane Mode (faltered approaching the home turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have fractured the right hock. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track and were satisfied it was suitable for racing.
