Romp Tin – Late scratching at 16:47 on the advice of the On– Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to a left hindleg spike wound. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Sorry I"m Late and Mr. Kia Ora were slow to begin. Got The Lot was very slow to begin.
Sorry I"m Late underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg pencil/whip injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Danielle Smith regarding Sorry I'm Late’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Sorry I"m Late was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Smith pleaded guilty to the charge. Sorry I"m Late must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
