Steward's Report
Scott To Burn was quick to begin. Little Poppet, Maja Manatee and Tinker Conall were slow to begin.
Little Poppet raced wide in the home straight.
Maja Manatee (turned head outwards approaching the home turn and entering the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury and shin soreness to both forelegs. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Nathan McKay regarding Maja Manatee’s racing manners approaching the home turn and entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Maja Manatee was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr McKay pleaded guilty to the charge. Maja Manatee was suspended for three months (5th offence) all tracks and must perform two Satisfactory Trials in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
