Steward's Report
A pre-race urine sample was taken from Ramblin' Man.
Inter Black Fire was quick to begin. Hellboy, Big Boy Andre and Scarlett's Gem were slow to begin.
Inter Black Fire (lost ground in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Tony Interligi regarding the racing manners of Inter Black Fire in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr Interligi, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their own observations, Stewards took no further action. In arriving at this decision, Stewards took into careful consideration the injury assessment combined with Mr Interligis's understanding of the greyhounds apparent limitation at the distance of this event. Stewards will monitor Inter Black Fire's future events and Mr. Interligi stated he will nominate the greyhound for shorter distances.
