Steward's Report
Yarrell Bale – Late scratching at 10:30am when Mr. Luke Harris reported the greyhound to have a monkey muscle injury. (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.
Junior Pistol was quick to begin. Speed Merchant was slow to begin.
Brenden and Viking raced wide in the home straight.
Speed Merchant was severely checked, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right elbow and humerus fractures. Speed Merchant was humanely euthanised.
Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track and deemed it satisfactory for racing.
