Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Parwan's Star.
Parwan's Star and Osprey Wizard were quick to begin.
Mister Manfredi - racing manners entering home straight and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Re-vet declined.
Stewards spoke to representative Mr S Smith regarding Mister Manfredi’s racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Mister Manfredi was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr S Smith pleaded guilty to the charge. Mister Manfredi was suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Osprey Wizard - racing manners approaching home turn and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to representative Mrs L Delbridge & Mr N Britton regarding the racing manners of Osprey Wizard approaching the home turn. After hearing submissions from Mrs L Delbridge & Mr N Britton, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections.
