Be Little and Evie Wonder were quick to begin. Royal Pride was slow to begin.
Sorry I'm Late (marred Frog March approaching the winning post) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right fore metacarpals. A 3 day stand-down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Ms. Danielle Smith regarding Sorry I'm Late's racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Sorry I'm Late was charged with marring. Ms. Smith pleaded not guilty to the charge. Sorry I'm Late was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
