Thunder Bay – Late scratching at 8:12am when Mrs. Julie Chilcott reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.
Run Giuseppe Run was quick to begin.
Run Giuseppe Run underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the left wrist. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mrs. Julie Chilcott regarding Run Giuseppe Run’s racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Run Giuseppe Run was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs. Chilcott pleaded guilty to the charge. Run Giuseppe Run must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
