Steward's Report
More Wine Please and Paw Leon were quick to begin. Beers And Bikes, Cobble Giblet and Been Gifted were slow to begin.
Aston Josie slipped its collar behind the starting boxes and competed in the event without a muzzle. An inquiry was held with handler Mr Graham Julian. After considering the evidence Stewards issued a charge against Mr Julian pursuant to GAR 156(f)(ii). Particulars of the charge being that he omitted to have the lead sufficently fastened and omitted to ensure Aston Josie competed in the event wearing a muzzle. Mr Julian pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $100. In arriving at penalty Stewards considered where and how the incident took place, Mr Julian's guilty plea and record in the industry.
