Magnis Bale was quick to begin and raced wide in the home straight.
Magnis Bale - checked and eased approaching home turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 12. Magnis Bale was found to have a right triangle muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to representative Mr W Hartigan regarding Magnis Bale’s racing manners approaching home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Magnis Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr W Hartigan pleaded guilty to the charge. Magnis Bale must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
