Steward's Report
A pre-race urine sample was taken from Burn The Bend.
Paw Janelle and Aston Meek were slow to begin.
Myola Dusk (lost ground approaching the home turn, then marred by Aston Meek and tailed off), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 8. Myola Dusk was found to have a right achilles tendon injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Aston Meek (marred Myola Dusk from approaching the 200m and tailed off) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left stopper pad injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr A. Julian regarding Aston Meek's racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Aston Meek was charged with marring. Mr A. Julian pleaded guilty to the charge. Aston Meek was suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
