Steward's Report
Gloze and Cornhill Storm were quick to begin. Junior Ruslie and Aston Typhoon were slow to begin.
A post–race sample was taken from Henry Bale – the winner of the event.
Untethered underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a back muscle strain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Simon Barker regarding Untethered’s racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Untethered was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Barker pleaded guilty to the charge. Untethered must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
