Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Kia Ora Magic.
Kraken Roll and Harbour Lights were quick to begin. Scott Shenanigan and Kia Ora Magic were slow to begin.
Stewards spoke to trainer, Mrs. Emma Scott regarding the racing manners of Whodat Duchess approaching the winning post. After hearing submissions from Mrs. Scott, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
Anaconda Riot (turned it's head outwards and visibly eased approaching the home turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. John Caulfield regarding Anaconda Riot’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Anaconda Riot was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Caulfield pleaded guilty to the charge. Anaconda Riot is suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial/s in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
