Steward's Report
Aston Merrick – New declared weight of 31.2kg last raced at 30.1kg.
Super Seattle was quick to begin.
Wendigo - stumbled soon after box rise and subsequently lost ground, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the muzzle. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Rocky Ride - lost ground approaching the first turn, underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr Peter Riley regarding Rocky Ride's racing action approaching the first turn. In accordance with GAR 122, the Stewards requested Mr. Riley to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Rocky Ride in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
A post-race sample was taken from Super Seattle - the winner of the event.
