Steward's Report
Forty Four Sons was quick to begin.
Forty Four Sons visibly eased on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have left hindleg shin soreness and a right back muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Karen Pitt regarding Forty Four Sons’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Forty Four Sons was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Pitt pled guilty to the charge, Forty Four Sons must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
