Steward's Report
The Stewards were advised that the track was medium harrowed on 3 April 2024.
Miss Ballantyne – New declared weight of 25.4 kg, last raced at 24.2 kg.
This event was delayed by one minute due to operational issues.
Natural Glamour was quick to begin. Miss Ballantyne was slow to begin.
The announcement of the All Clear was delayed for the Stewards to review the race footage after a bird was positioned on the track in the home straight and alighted as the greyhounds approached. After viewing the footage and acting on their own observations, the Stewards were comfortably satisfied that no greyhounds were materially affected so as to affect the outcome of the event. The All Clear was posted.
Miss Ballantyne - trailled the feld throughout underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist sprain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr C Baker regarding Miss Ballantyne’s overall performance. After hearing submissions from Mr C Baker, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Miss Ballantyne unsatisfactory. Miss Ballantyne must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
