Steward's Report
Make The Call and Parisette collided soon after the start checking Mahogany Boy and Parisette,. Cocky Boy and Mahogany Boy collided approaching the first turn checking Mahogany Boy. Cocky Boy checked off the heels of Parisette on the first turn severely checking Mahogany Boym Paper Chaser and Wicked Trip. Cocky Boy checked off Wicked Trip entering the back straight. Make The Call and Parisette collided approaching the home turn checking Make The Call. Cocky Boy and Paper Chaser collided approaching the home turn.
Make The Call was vetted following the Event. It was reported that there were no injuries apparent with the greyhound.
A swab sample was taken from Parisette, the winner of the Event.
The catching pen gate was not closed at the conclusion of this Event causing the greyhounds to catch the lure in the back straight. Stewards issued a severe reprimand to Sandown GRC Attendants - Mr. Paul Curran, Ian Butcher and Mark Grimma for failing to be in their positions and carry out their duties for this event.
