Steward's Report

Limburg Gem, Lansley Black and Truckie were slow out. Camo's Buster checked off Black Viking soon after the start. Fire Potion and Black Viking collided on the first turn, checking Black Viking, Limburg Gem and Lansley Black. Fire Potion, Drumma Water and Truckie collided approaching the home turn, checking Drumma Water. Good Luck Chuck and Limburg Gem collided approaching the home turn. When questioned regarding the improved performance of Fire Potion, Trainer Steve Elsum stated that as the greyhound was having its second start since joining his kennels he was of the opinion Fire Potion would be better suited over 570 metres in comparison to its recent start over 450 mertes at Warnambool, November 6th. Mr Elsum's comments were noted. Drumma Water was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound was showing signs of myoglobinuria/muscle damage, a seven day stand down period was imposed.
