Steward's Report
Loud Shot, Rhythm And Speed, Gozo Reg and Bendooley Bale were slow out. Mighty Mint crossed to the rails soon after the start checking Rhythm And Speed and Mr. Callahan in turn colliding with Nanchero Magic. Rhythm And Speed and Mr. Callahan collided on the first turn checking Loud Shot in turn causing Rhythm And Speed to stumble and Mr. Callahan to fall checking Gozo Reg as a result.
Rhythm And Speed was vetted following the Event and Dr. Ralph Staples, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that he could find no injury apparent with the greyhound.
Mr. Callahan was also vetted following the Event and Dr. Staples reported that the greyhound was found to be concussed. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Staples, the Stewards will stand Mr. Callahan down from competing for 7 days to recuperate.
