Union Bill stumbled at boxrise and lost ground as a result. Shala Bale crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Lady Octavia. Laid Back Max and Shala Bale collided approaching the first turn. Inspirator checked off the heels of Harry Oh on the first turn. Laid Back Max, Witch Oak and Shala Bale collided on the first turn checking Shala Bale and severely checking Laid Back Max, Witch Oak, Lady Octavia and Union Bill, Laid Back Max, Witch Oak and Lady Octavia fell as a result.
Laid Back Max was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured left wrist, a 30 day stand down period was imposed.
Witch Oak was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Lady Octavia was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right shoulder and was euthanased.
