A pre-race sample was taken from Kynan's Express.
Kynan's Express and Crystal Carnage were quick out. Elite Lombo and Turkish Delight were slow out. Ruwi's Revenge, Lektra Impact and Carlos West collided approaching the first turn, checking Lektra Impact. Elite Lombo and Lektra Impact collided on the first turn, checking Lektra Impact. Ruwi's Revenge and Crystal Carnage collided several times approaching the home turn, checking Crystal Carnage and causing Elite Lombo to fall. Turkish Delight raced wide on the home turn.
Elite Lombo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained back soreness, a seven day stand down period was imposed.
