Bunny Time was a late scratching at 3:10PM due to weight variation, a ten day stand down period was imposed, trainer P. Arnott was fined the sum of $100 (GAR39).
Flumbo and Leeroy Rocker were quick out. Classic Spud was slow out. Vapour Wild and Why Not Albert collided soon after the start, checking Why Not Albert. Royal Phoenix checked off the heels of One Mission on the first turn, severely checking Royal Phoenix and causing Royal Phoenix to race wide for the remainder of the event. Vapour Wild galloped on the heels of Flumbo approaching the home turn, checking Flumbo, and severely checking Vapour Wild; causing Why Not Albert to race wide as a result.
