Steward's Report
Wild Intent crossed to the rails soon after the start, checking Cru Jones, Paragon Sprinter, Pennycook Jock and Wild Jorgia. Spring Square, Light Image and Wild Intent collided on the first turn, checking Light Image. Pennycook Jock galloped on the heels of Paragon Sprinter on the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Wild Intent veered out and fought Spring Square on the home turn. Spring Square and Wild Intent collided entering the home straight. Light Image and Wild Intent approaching the finishing line.
Wild Intent was vetted following the running of the event, found to be injured (left pencil muscle) and was stood down for 7 days.
Stewards spoke to the handler of Wild Intent Mrs. Lisa Delbridge reagarding the greyhounds racing manner on the home turn. Stewards charged the greyhound with fighting under R80.1 the greyhound will stand down for 3 months and be required to perform an STAT under R81.2 before future nominations will be acceptd.
