Steward's Report
Awesome Surfer, Sizzlin' Friz, Another Fave and Flaming Waters were slow out. Sizzlin' Friz and Another Fave collided approaching the first turn. Awesome Surfer checked off Dr. Waterhorse on the first turn and stumbled checking Sizzlin' Friz, Another Fave and Flaming Waters. Fluidity and Why Not Happy collided on the first turn. Sizzlin' Friz and Flaming Waters collided approaching the home turn checking Sizzlin' Friz. Awesome Surfer galloped on the heels of Flaming Waters approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Awesome Surfer veered in and marred Flaming Waters entering the home straight and again in the home straight.
Awesome Surfer was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right foreleg, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Acting under GAR 69(1)(a) stewards charged Awesome Surfer with marring and suspended the greyhound for 28 days at Sale and directed that the greyhound perform a STAT, pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
