Sanz Surprize and Velvet Sky were slow out. Phildavian, My Girl Spic, Inserter and Somewhere Girl collided soon after start checking My Girl Spic, Inserter and Somewhere Girl. Sanz Surprize checked off Somewhere Girl approaching the first turn. Angels Sing crossed to the rail on the first turn. My Girl Spic checked off Inserter on the first turn. Sanz Surprize galloped on the heels of Velvet Sky approaching the home turn severely checking both greyhounds. Somewhere Girl checked off Fast Eddie Mac in the home straight.
