Trojan Boy and Plastered were slow out. Carrington Lad crossed to the rails approaching the first turn checking Magic Sarah, Trojan Boy, Kilmany Ghost and Plastered. Hot Cheleigh checked off the heels of On The Fax on the first turn. Kilmany Ghost and Carrington Lad collided entering the back straight checking On The Fax and Magic Sarah. Latrobe Warrior faltered on the second turn and lost considerable ground. Kilmany Ghost and Carrington Lad collided on the second turn checking Kilmany Ghost. Plastered checked off the heels of On The Fax on the second turn. On The Fax checked off the heels of Hot Cheleigh on the home turn and raced wide as a result. Latrobe Warrior was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound injured right tricep, a 21 stand down period was imposed. Plastered was vetted followng the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. A sample was taken from Carrington Lad - the winner of the event.
