Dubai Flex was slow out. Levarg, Dark Rhythm, Smurf's Anzac and Arvo's Lightyear collided soon after the start. Gangland checked off the heels of Dark Rhythm on the first turn. Smurf's Anzac and Arvo's Lightyear collided on the second turn checking Dark Rhythm and severely checking Smurf's Anzac. Dubai Flex checked off the heels of Prince Lyric on the third turn. Dark Rhythm, Dubai Flex and Arvo's Lightyear collided entering the home straight. Smurf's Anzac was vetted following the Event and Dr. Narelle Cribb, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that she could find no injury apparent with the greyhound. Judge Galore was also vetted following the Event at the request of Trainer, B. Jones. Dr. Cribb subsequently reported that Judge Galore sustained a minor spike wound to the left fore stopper pad. No stand down penalty was applied due to the minor extent of the abrasion. A swab sample was taken from Glenavon Rhthym, the winner of the Event.
