Steward's Report
Merey Wisper, Regal James and Prowling Star were slow out and collided soon after the start. Boilen Billy, Merey Wisper, Regal James, Prowling Star, Takapuna Beach, Code Of Practice and Little Tunnel collided on the first turn severely checking Boilen Billy, Merey Wisper, Regal James, Prowling Star and Little Tunnel and causing Takapuna Beach to fall. Awesome Molly and Prowling Star collided on the second turn checking Boilen Billy. Merey Wisper checked off the heels of Boilen Billy approaching the home turn.
Takapuna Beach was vetted following the Event and Dr. Narelle Cribb, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left back muscle, left pencil muscle and left triangle muscle. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Cribb, the Stewards will stand Takapuna Beach down from competing for 5 days.
