Steward's Report
Roosy, Slater and Junior Boss were slow out. Major Conflict, Captain Hifi, Slater, Leprechaun Pace and Junior Boss collided soon after the start. Captain Hifi, Slater and Leprechaun Pace collided approaching the first turn. Roosy contacted the running rail on the first turn. Slater checked off the heels of Captain Hifi on the first turn checking Junior Boss. Roosy and Captain Hifi collided approaching the second turn severely checking Captain Hifi and causing Roosy to pull up. Slater and Junior Boss collided entering the home straight.
Roosy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a knee injury, a 30 day stand down period was imposed.
Captain Hifi was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Samples were taken from the first and second placegetters - Betty's Angel (1st), Big Swell (2nd).
