Steward's Report
Dr. McGough was a late scratching at 6:00PM due to weight variation.
Aceman was slow out. Kickemon Sid and Cape Assassin collided soon after the start and again on the first turn. Choda Girl and Placaleena collided on the second turn checking Aussie Nicky and Festive Spirit and severely checking Choda Girl which lost considerable ground as a result. Placaleena checked off Kickemon Sid on the third turn. Choda Girl and Placaleena collided several times on the fifth turn.
Choda Girl was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hip. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Placaleena was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left inside metatarsal. A 30 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Ralph (representing trainer A. Ralph) regarding the performance of Choda Girl. Stewards issued a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the fifth turn.
