Steward's Report
Whiplash Smile and Hot Special were slow out and collided soon after the start. Bourne Saintly and Cawbourne Frank collided soon after the start. Hot Special checked off the heels of Whiplash Smile approaching the first turn. Whiplash Smile, Bourne Saintly, Cawbourne Frank, Poetic Memory and Arvo's Magic collided on the first turn severely checking Whiplash Smile, Cawbourne Frank, Bourne Saintly and Poetic Memory. Whiplash Smile and Cawbourne Frank collided on the home turn.
Bourne Saintly was vetted following the Event and Dr. Gabrielle Carter, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right carpus. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Carter, the Stewards will stand Bourne Saintly down from competing for 21 days.
Cawbourne Frank was vetted following the Event and Dr. Carter reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right dew claw. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Carter, the Stewards will stand Cawbourne Frank down from competing for 14 days.
Poetic Memory was also vetted following the Event and Dr. Carter reported that she could find no injury apparent with the greyhound.
