The starting time for the event was delayed for 3 minutes to permit MGRA track staff sufficient time to clear a wild hare from the inside of the track.
Mepunga Wish was slow out. Something Wild, Lightning Wish and Chat Line collided on the first turn checking Lightning Wish. Que, Something Wild and Rare Wine collided on the fifth turn checking Que. Que and Rose Beam collided entering the home straight.
Lightning Wish was vetted and found to have an injury to her right triangle muscle and was stood down for 5 days.
Explosive Flash was vetted and found to have an injury to her right calf muscle and right shoulder and was stood down for 7 days.
