Benara Point was checked off the heels of Awesome Bella soon after the start. Cool Ginger Girl was checked off the heels of Bit Nippy approaching the first turn. Benara Point was checked off the heels of Bit Nippy on the first turn checking Cool Ginger Girl and Hasty Rhythm. Hasty Comment was checked off the heels of Awesome Bella on the second turn. Hasty Comment crossed to the rail entering the back straight. Cool Ginger Girl was checked off the heels of Icy Lucy entering the home straight checking Awesome Bella and Bit Nippy.
Icy Lucy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound was found to be injured in the right shoulder and will be stood down from racing for 7 days to recuperate.
