Steward's Report
Coulta Pine and Trendy Leigh were slow out. Coulta Pine, Set the Fire and Talent Zone collided soon after the start. Talent Zone, Jinny Bale and Eccentric Bell collided on the first turn checking Talent Zone and Eccentric Bell severely checking Trendy Leigh and causing Jinny Bale to fall. Nicole's Magic checked off the heels of Talent Zone on the second turn. Talent Zone and Eccentric Bell collided entering the back straight. Nicole's Magic and Eccentric Bell collided on the home turn. Coulta Pine and Wild Wally collided approaching the finishing line.
Trendy Leigh and Jinny Bale were vetted following the Event and Dr. David Stebbo, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that he could find nothing amiss with either greyhound.
Coulta Pine was also vetted following the Event and Dr. Stebbo reported that he could find nothing amiss with the greyhound. Stewards issued a warning to Trainer, Robert Britton, regarding the manner in which Coulta Pine raced approaching the finishing line.
World Treasure trialled after the running of Event 1 over 515m starting from Box 1. The sectional times recorded by the Judge were as follows: 5.29: 19.37: 30.00.
