Steward's Report
Old Mill, Final Conflict and Melodramatic were slow out. Old Mill checked off the heels of Final Conflict on the first turn. Final Conflict, Wylie's Me Uncle and Gomez Jackson collided on the first turn. Samples were taken from Brett Lee, the winner of the event. As the lure approached the starting point the boxes prematurely released the field, but in the opinion of the stewards the premature release was minimal and had no effect on the start of the event. Stewards withheld "All Clear" until they viewed the video film of the event and were satisfied with their decision and declared "All Clear".
