Dr. Scott, White Hutchy and Kooky Keats were slow out and collided soon after the start. Beer On Four, Boss Dougie and Paddy's Brooke collided on the first turn checking Beer On Four and Boss Dougie. Part Warrior and Hot Mama Vibes collided on the first turn checking Part Warrior. Beer On Four and Hot Mama Vibes collided on the second turn. Boss Dougie clipped the heels of Dr. Scott on the second turn causing Boss Dougie to fall. Boss Dougie was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Part Warrior was vetted and after being revetted following event 5 it was reported that the greyhound was found to have soreness in the lumbar muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Whitford, the trainer of the greyhound Part Warrior. Stewards deemed the performance of Part Warrior unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Part Warrior must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted. A sample was taken from Paddy's Brooke - the winner of the event.
