Midnight Missile was a late scratching at 5:10pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to illness. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Sum Sum Keats was slow out. Sonorous and Barnsey Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Sonorous. Barnsey Bale contacted the running rail on the first turn and stumbled checking Sonorous and Sum Sum Keats. Awesome To Excel checked off Jomer Blue on the first turn checking Dexternator Ride. Dexternator Ride galloped on the heels of Awesome To Excel approaching the home turn checking Awesome To Excel and severely checking Dexternator Ride which stumbled checking Barnsey Bale. Sonorous raced wide on the home turn. Barnsey Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a torn right monkey muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
