Lady Laganore and Grambo Lee were slow out. Buddy checked off the heels of Mambo Crew approaching the first turn. Buddy, Mambo Crew and Current Dream collided on the first turn severely checking Buddy. Current Dream galloped on the heels of Zulu Zepha on the first turn checking Current Dream, Zulu Zepha, Sinclair Gold, Optimistic One and Lady Laganore causing Lady Laganore to race wide, Optimistic One lost ground as a result. Current Dream and Zulu Zepha collided on the second turn.
