Steward's Report
Terip King and Could Have were slow out. Matey's Chance crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Matey's Chance and Today's Special. Pure Gasoline and Terip King collided soon after the start. Lady Shivers crossed to the outside soon after the start. Pure Gasoline and Could Have collided several times between the 150mtr mark and the 50mtr mark. Today's Special eased at the 50mtr mark. Today's Special checked off the heels of Woody Uno approaching the winning post.
Terip King was vetted folowing the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an upper left shoulder and neck injuries, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Today's Special was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left shoulder injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 98(1)(d), the stewards charged Today's Special with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a STAT before any further nomination will be accepted.
