Gold Grondo was slow out. Volcom Bale, Uno Our Suprimo and Bernmar Fury collided approaching the first turn. Gold Grondo was checked off the heels of Don Diego approaching the first turn. Volcom Bale was checked off the heels of Bernmar Fury on the first turn checking Gold Grondo. Bernmar Fury crossed to the outside entering the home straight. Volcom Bale galloped on the heels of Bernmar Fury on the home turn checking Bernmar Fury. Bernmar Fury and Newfire Onfire collided in the home straight. Baron's Chance, Bernmar Fury and Newfire Onfire collided in the home straight. Newfire Onfire was checked off the heels of Bernmar Fury approaching the winning post.
Newfire Onfire was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustain an injured left monkey muscle, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Steward's issued a warning to Mr. P. Goold the trainer of Newfire Onfire regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.
