Stately James, Dr. Hiedrich and Black Gate were slow out. Dr. Hiedrich, Stately James and Astound collided soon after the start. Dr. Hiedrich and Outer Reach collided several times approaching the first turn. Stately James, Dr. Hiedrich and Outer Reach collided on the first turn checking Dr. Hiedrich and Outer Reach. Dr. Hiedrich galloped on the heels of Why Not Wizard on the home turn checking both greyhounds.
