Steward's Report
Misty Shiraz and Emanuel were slow to begin.
Master Boots was very slow to begin (2 lengths).
Shabby and Pretty Peggy Sue collided soon after the start, checking Shabby.
Pretty Peggy Sue raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.
Master Boots cramped approaching the winning post.
Shabby was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Bourke, the trainer of the greyhound Shabby. Stewards deemed the performance of Shabby unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Shabby must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Master Boots was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to both triangle muscles and cramping, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Haintz, the trainer of the greyhound Master Boots. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
