Steward's Report
Autumn Angel was quick to begin.
Kevin's Boy (turned head soon after the start) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 4. Kevin's Boy was found to have a right triangle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Kevin Ross regarding Kevin's Boy’s racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Kevin's Boy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Ross pleaded guilty to the charge. Kevin's Boy was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Belfast Lily (severely checked approaching the home turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 7. Belfast Lily was found to have a right back muscle and a left wrist injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
