Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Mrs. Dramatic.
Big Cuddle was quick to begin.
Stella Reno visibly eased and turned it's head inwards in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 8. Stella Reno was found to have a left triangle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Daryl Saunders regarding Stella Reno's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Stella Reno was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Saunders pleaded guilty to the charge. Stella Reno was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Mr Brett Mackie regarding the racing manners of Mrs. Dramatic in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr Mackie, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
There was no head on vision available in the home straight.
